How does COVID-19 spread?

The virus is thought to spread mainly by human-to-human transmission, within 6 feet of distance of two people, through respiratory droplets produced by the infected when he/she coughs, sneezes or talks. These droplets could land in the mouths or noses of the others who are nearby and possibly be inhaled into their lungs. Some recent studies have suggested that COVID-19 may also be spread by infected people without symptoms.
